Bua Health: pay-monthly online GP weight programme

Bua Health runs a pay-monthly weight programme with IMC-registered doctors from its clinical partner, MedicOnline. You pay a flat monthly fee for consultations and support, and buy any prescribed medicine from a pharmacy you nominate. Here is how it works and what to check.

Compiled and edited by John Fox. Provider facts source-checked 2026-10-02. Provider details can change, so verify current terms directly before booking. View the primary source.

GLP-1.ie is independent. No provider pays us today, for a listing, a ranking or a referral. If that changes, this note will say so, and payment will never change the order or remove a safety warning.

How Bua Health works

You complete an online health questionnaire and pay. A MedicOnline doctor reviews it and, if treatment may be appropriate, holds a remote one-to-one consultation to agree a plan. If a prescription is issued, it is sent electronically to the pharmacy you nominate, where you buy the medicine under a separate contract. Monthly reviews, messaging with the clinical team and dietitian support continue while you stay on the programme.

What it costs

Bua charges €50 a month for consultations, the treatment plan and support. There is no subscription: you pay for the next month only when you are ready to continue. The medicine is priced and charged by your chosen pharmacy, so ask it for a quote before you order.
