Accessibility statement
What we check, what we know is not right yet, and how to tell us about a problem.

What we aim for
We want everyone to be able to use GLP-1.ie, including people who use a keyboard instead of a mouse, a screen reader, zoom or their device's dark mode. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. The site has not been audited against those guidelines, so we do not claim that it meets them.
What we check
- Automated accessibility checks (axe, using its WCAG 2.1 level A and AA rules) run every night in our browser tests on key pages, including several steps of the eligibility check. A serious or critical problem fails the run.
- On 23 October 2026 an automated test completed the eligibility check using only the keyboard, and axe found no colour-contrast or tap-target problems on seven pages, in both the light and dark themes. That test ran on the page layout used before this statement was published; we have not yet repeated it on the current layout.
- Body text colours are chosen for a contrast ratio of at least 4.5 to 1 in both themes. The theme follows your device's light or dark setting unless you choose light or dark with the theme button in the page header (on phones, under Appearance in the menu).
- Tables wider than a phone screen scroll sideways inside their own box, and you can move to that box and scroll it with the keyboard.
- The botanical artwork is decorative and hidden from screen readers.
Known gaps
- We have not yet tested the site with a screen reader, such as VoiceOver or TalkBack, or on a real iPhone or Android phone. Our checks so far use desktop browsers and phone-sized browser windows.
- Our automated checks use WCAG 2.1 rules, so criteria added in WCAG 2.2 are not checked automatically.
- Some comparison tables still scroll sideways on a phone.
- Links to provider and pharmacy websites take you to pages we do not control, and those pages may be harder to use.
Report a problem
If something on GLP-1.ie does not work for you, email hello@glp1.ie with the page address and what happened. Please do not include health details. If you need the information on a page in another form, tell us what would help.
The European Accessibility Act
The European Accessibility Act sets accessibility rules for some products and services from 28 June 2025. We are checking whether it applies to GLP-1.ie and whether the exemption for microenterprises covers it. Until that is settled, this statement makes no claim about the Act.
