DocOnCall weight consultation: phone or video GP, seven days

DocOnCall is an Irish online doctor service offering a single priced weight consultation by phone or video with an IMC-registered doctor. If treatment is appropriate, an e-prescription goes to a Republic of Ireland pharmacy you nominate. Here is what it costs and how it works.

GLP-1.ie is independent. No provider pays us today, for a listing, a ranking or a referral. If that changes, this note will say so, and payment will never change the order or remove a safety warning.

How DocOnCall's weight consultation works

You book a slot, pay online and complete a questionnaire on height, weight, medical history, current medicines and recent blood results. An IMC-registered doctor then reviews eligibility by phone or video and may request blood tests. DocOnCall says it will decline if criteria are not met. If the doctor decides treatment is appropriate, the e-prescription goes by HSE Healthmail to the pharmacy you nominate, where you collect with photo ID.

What it costs

The weight consultation is €54.99, with a discount when booked in its app. The weight page describes a 15-minute video consultation while the booking list shows 30 minutes, so check the length when booking. Follow-up reviews are recommended every three months; DocOnCall's terms say they are offered at a reduced price, but the figure is not published. Medicine is paid for at the pharmacy.
