Dr.Online (dronline.ie) weight consultation and follow-up fees

Dr.Online (dronline.ie) is an online GP platform for patients in the Republic of Ireland, run by a US-registered company. It offers a weight consultation with a GP by video link and separate follow-up consultations. It is not the same service as DrOnline247.

Compiled and edited by John Fox. Provider facts source-checked 2026-10-02. Provider details can change, so verify current terms directly before booking. View the primary source.

GLP-1.ie is independent. No provider pays us today, for a listing, a ranking or a referral. If that changes, this note will say so, and payment will never change the order or remove a safety warning.

How Dr.Online's weight consultation works

You pick a slot, register and pay, then join the consultation through a link on your phone, tablet or computer. Its terms say a phone call is possible at your request. The GP evaluates you, may issue blood test requisitions for a lab of your choice and emails a treatment plan. If the doctor decides treatment is needed, the prescription goes by HSE Healthmail to your nominated pharmacy. Follow-up consultations review progress and adjust the plan.

What it costs and who runs it

The initial weight consultation is from €55 and follow-ups from €45. The fee does not cover medicine bought at the pharmacy. Dr.Online's terms name Dr Online Inc, registered in Delaware, describe its doctors as self-employed and IMC-registered, and say you must be in the Republic of Ireland during the consultation. The terms set out a 14-day right to cancel.
